One Hundred for $100 Art Exhibit

by admin on Mar.20, 2009, under Uncategorized

I will be a featured artist tonight at the One Hundred for $100 art exhibit being held at 459 Main Street Bennington VT, for those of you from here it’s the old Nichols building. It’s free to the public so please feel free to stop by and say hi and check out all of the amazing artwork that will be on display.

I will be showing five of my best pieces.

Blue Country

Located on the border of New York and Vermont. “I was driving by, saw the shot rolled my window down and took 3 pictures and it was one of my best shots. That’s what I love about photography you never know what kind of photographic opportunities will arise while your out.”

Working Hands

“This is one of my favorite photos, these are my friend Heidi’s hands after she had been working on my car doing the brakes. I love the contrast and texture. “

On a side note, the model for this picture will also be featured at the exhibit as a photographer, her name is Heidi C. Haner.

Eagles Nest

This autumn scene can be found at the Bald Eagle Sanctuary in Pownal Vermont. Ms. Lamp loves the wonderful views from the top of this vista. “I hope to someday catch a Bald Eagle in flight”

Sun Rays

This striking shot was taken in the “old 1st Church Cemetery” in North Bennington VT. “I remember taking this shot laying on my stomach in the very cold early morning hours and waiting for the perfect shot, I think I got it”

Snow Falls

This award winning photograph is often thought to be done in Black & White but the combination of snow and the dark green of the pine trees tends to play tricks on your eyes. “Waterfalls are a particular favorite of mine, and until I took up photography I never realized just how many waterfalls were in the Bennington area alone.”
